Pork Chop with Ketchup Sauce
This is a very ABC tasting dish. Very good with rice or over spaghetti.
- Marinate pork chop with mince garlic, soy sauce, white pepper, and rice wine. You can do this overnight or if your pork chops are thin, at the start of your meal preparation. Set aside.
- Slice yellow onions, celery (on the bias), and carrots (on the bias).
- Make a cornstarch sauce. Put some cornstarch in a bowl, add a good squirt of ketchup, and water. You can add a little bit of oyster sauce for extra flavor. Set aside.
- Now heat frying pan with oil and sauté the vegetables until it smells aromatic and get a little soft. Scoop out vegetables and set aside.
- Add a little more oil to the pan if needed. Sprinkle some cornstarch to the pork chop. Now fry the pork chops so there's color on both sides.
- Add back the vegetables to the pan. Stir up the cornstarch sauce from step 3 and also add to the pan. Cover and cook until pork chops are done. If the cornstarch gets too thick, just add more (hot) water.
